Introducing the Bottega Veneta Spring 2020 Runway bags, the runway show featured clear plexi glass covering the classic leather signature interciatto leather that Bottega Veneta is well known for. Daniel Lee presented a few heavy hitting hits that new fans of Bottega Veneta will die to get their hands on. Namely the pouch is back but now with a large heavy shoulder bag chain, which adorned each runway model like jewelry.
The range of handbags were mostly impractical namely truly oversized hobo slings and slouch totes graced the runway. There was one large sling that was truly impractical as it looked like it weighed about the same weight as the model that was carrying it. Besides that Lee stayed true to the Bottega Veneta roots and kept accessories rich with leather and he stuck to the tried and true intrecciato weave that the brand is well known for. A press preview was held not shortly after the runway show where the pieces were displayed, as they should, as art pieces atop crystal cubed pedestals. Other sought after pieces included a square clutch with wooden handle, the cassette bag makes a return, and a new 'V' closure clutch bag. We were most excite about the new Zebra print that appeared on some of the clutches.
