Introducing the Valentino Resort 2018 Runway Bag Collection. Pierpaolo Piccioli has presented his latest collection last May in New York, once again. The Creative Director has taken his inspiration from the Netflix hip-hop series The Get Down by Baz Luhrmann, which was also set in New York in the late 1970s. The collection features sporty vibe like track suits and jackets, but still presents the signature intricate flowy dresses. A mix of bold colors and embroideries were seen not only in the ready-to-wear items, but also in the handbags. The Demilune that was introduced for the Pre-Fall 2017 Collection is back this season, and now comes in shoulder bags. While the iconic Rockstud are made available in a variety of styles, like bowling bag, flap bag, saddle and even a heart shaped minaudiere. The brand has also joined the Bag Belt trend, creating their own version with their classic studs. The regular studs are seen in white this season, making it more striking. Canvas and denim tote bags were also presented in the runway.
